RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) a Eastern Indiana probation officer says he's disappointed by the Richmond hospital s decision to her outpatient substance abuse treatment program and the conclusion to close will reduce the treatment options for offenders.
Wayne County assistant chief Probation Officer Kory George calls Reid Hospital s move to close the Aurora programme by 31 January is disturbing. He told the Palladium-item the program s services for drugs, alcohol and gambling addiction represent one of the main referral sources for the test Department.
Reid Hospital President Craig Kinyon said close Aurora is part of the planned cuts heading in the financial year 2011. Reid officials said they re convinced that local authorities and regional addiction service providers will be able to pick up Aurora s clients.
