Link Christin named as Director of Hazelden's new legal Professionals addiction treatment program

Former lawyer to national program Featuring first-of-its-kind of addiction treatment path dedicated to helping lawyers, judges, legal assistants and other legal professionals

Link Christin, m.a., J.D., L.A.D.C., a 30-year veteran litigation Attorney and alumnus of the Hazelden Graduate School of addiction Studies, has joined Hazelden to the new programme for Legal Professionals. Christin leads this national program with a first-of-its-kind of addiction treatment path dedicated to helping legal professionals. Facilitated by three Attorney/clinicians, Hazelden's new program designed to help of lawyers, judges, legal assistants and other legal professionals overcoming addiction to alcohol and other drugs.

Seppala, M.D. "Link will offer valuable strategic direction for our new specialty track program. He and his lawyer/Clinician colleagues here at Hazelden bring vast experience and expertise to tackle addiction treatment Dynamics for this population. "


Christin, who has been in recovery from addiction for more than six years, fully understands the challenges of legal professionals in need of treatment. Graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and veteran litigation attorney, Christin describes his pre-recovery itself as a "high-functioning advocate alcoholic." It was in 2004, after the loss of his marriage, work and home, that the decision made to Christin Help and his life upside down.


Most recently, Christina served as Director of the college of Virginia continuing legal education and as Director of the New Mexico bureau of the public defender. In addition to leadership Hazelden's legal Professionals program, Christin his work as an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minn.
